The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Dinei Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilton Simão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Percival Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in gremio ceara's zone, Dinei Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilton Simão came out of the goal and Dinei Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinei Salles in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilton Simão saved gremio ceara from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Percival Palmeira to strike the kick off in the second half. gremio ceara's Nilton Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Mattos in the 51st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dinei Salles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nilton Simão came out and tried to block the shot, but Dinei Salles slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 79th minute. Márcio Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Depósito FC's Cauan Barreto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nilton Simão. Nilton Simão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. The supporters of Depósito FC booed when gremio ceara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Depósito FC played a much better game than gremio ceara and deserved their victory. The gremio ceara players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
