When Rômulo Sousa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Edu Brasil was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Manfredo de Toledo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Pedrinho Trevisan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rômulo Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edu Brasil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. João Francisco da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Raimundo Donato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lúcio Macedo went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the match, Saulo Futebol Clube 39-XX's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Macedo came free, but Raimundo Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Edu Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Lúcio Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. XV de Piracicaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manfredo de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Donato having to interfere. Alfredo Bastos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Donato having to make a save. João Francisco da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Lúcio Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manfredo de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lúcio Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Donato having to interfere. Raimundo Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Macedo in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Rômulo Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saulo Futebol Clube 39-XX's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rômulo Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo de Toledo in the 78th minute of the match. Lúcio Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilson Coutinho hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Tião do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Saulo Futebol Clube 39-XX got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Coutinho. Raimundo Donato was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luciano Branco. 87 minutes into the game, Nilson Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saulo Futebol Clube 39-XX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XV de Piracicaba the free kick. Nilson Coutinho hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Saulo Futebol Clube 39-XX's Percy Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Percy Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
