Dário Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Eliseu Pitta fired a really elegant long shot, but Dário Ortiz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. With a little luck, Marco do Percurso FC's Dário Ortiz got control of the ball when Kauan Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Piraju booed when Marco do Percurso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kauan Ramalhos short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Dário Ortiz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 41st minute of the game, Edgard Albuquerque landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Reynaldo Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Piraju was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience was convinced that Reynaldo Magalhães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Ortiz was relentless in the 77th minute of the game.
