After 35 played minutes Novice Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Palmeira. If Mathias Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Simão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Zonta's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Cocamera SC's Douglas Rossi got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Natã Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Cocamera SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Zonta came free, but Hortêncio Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Zonta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Mathias Zonta made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Simão. Cocamera SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The coaching staff of Cocamera SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nelsinho Figueiredo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Novice Soccer a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jean Couto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cocamera SC's Hortêncio Simão. 2-1. After 73 minutes, Vitinho Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cocamera SC and the Novice Soccer players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Cocamera SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Novice Soccer:s goal. Novice Soccer's Natã Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Didi Paulista's late challenge caught a Novice Soccer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Paulista helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Novice Soccer booed when Cocamera SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Zonta in the 89th minute of the match. Didi Paulista hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Mathias Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Novice Soccer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Zonta couldn't finish the play. Telmo Fernandes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hortêncio Simão. Cocamera SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Novice Soccer's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
