With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Batista in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloísio Godoi saved Brejauva EC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Franca's Benjamim Fernandez got a free kick in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Franca's zone, Cauã Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Barral came out of the goal and Cauã Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Brejauva EC! If Davi Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Davi Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Franca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davi Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Jorge Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the game, João Carlos Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brejauva EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Franca the free kick. João Carlos Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedrinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Jorge Batista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aloísio Godoi. Brejauva EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Batista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A collision led to Franca getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Dinei Mesquita hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Brejauva EC's Sílvio Luís Koehler broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 74th minute Davi Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinei Mesquita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aloísio Godoi. Brejauva EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benjamim Fernandez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Franca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 90 minutes into the game, Franca's Davi Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aloísio Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 93 minutes into the match, Franca's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã Koehler came free, but Pedrinho Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When João Carlos Albuquerque was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. The supporters of Franca booed when Brejauva EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Brejauva EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Franca's performance. The match ended with a win for Franca.
