Henrique Catarinense really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Arí Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Arcelino Futebol Clube's Arí Favoretto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 17th match minute, Philadelphia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Zé Paulo Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Rubinho de Medeiros scored 2-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Washington Sena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arí Favoretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Paulo Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Henrique Catarinense struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Zé Paulo Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arcelino Futebol Clube. Amauri Romero hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Arcelino Futebol Clube's Pedrinho Ribeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho de Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Favoretto in the 55th minute of play forced Philadelphia's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arcelino Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Guilherme Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Paulo Bastos came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Arcelino Futebol Clube's Henrique Catarinense. But to his dismay, Henrique Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 66 minutes into the match, Philadelphia's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Favoretto came free, but Zé Paulo Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Henrique Catarinense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Zé Paulo Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Favoretto in the 71st minute of the match. Arí Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Washington Sena made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Vitório Arce sent off a good shot on target. Paulinho Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arcelino Futebol Clube's Paulinho Rodrigues suffered a concussion in the 83rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Amauri Romero fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Philadelphia's protests and gave Amauri Romero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Philadelphia's Amauri Romero got a free kick in the 84th minute. Flavinho de Brito hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, José Pedro Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arcelino Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Philadelphia the free kick. Luiz Guilherme Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Arcelino Futebol Clube were the better team. Arcelino Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
