Nildo Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nildo Alcântara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henrique Catarinense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Nildo Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Henrique Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. If Jailson de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Arcelino Futebol Clube a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luiz Guilherme Nóbrega, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Calderao's Nildo Alcântara. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Arcelino Futebol Clube's Arí Favoretto got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Calderao's zone, Henrique Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Alcântara came out of the goal and Henrique Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Paulinho Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Henrique Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Arcelino Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Catarinense couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Calderao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Vides to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nildo Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim de Sena hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arí Favoretto was the one to do the kick off. Nildo Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Rodrigues in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Calderao's zone, Pedrinho Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Alcântara came out of the goal and Pedrinho Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henrique Catarinense scored 3-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nildo Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nildo Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Favoretto in the 60th minute of play. Henrique Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Alcântara having to interfere. If Henrique Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Henrique Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arcelino Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Catarinense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nildo Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the game, Cléberson Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calderao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arcelino Futebol Clube the free kick. A collision led to Calderao getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Cléberson Paraense hit a great ball. If Paulinho Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Favoretto in the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Calderao's Delfim de Sena got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulinho Rodrigues in the 90th minute of play forced Calderao's goalkeeper Nildo Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Arcelino Futebol Clube's Henrique Catarinense to fire away a dangerous shot which Nildo Alcântara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Calderao's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Rodrigues came free, but Nildo Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arcelino Futebol Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
