Minador EC's Pedro Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Pernambucano in the 42nd minute of play. Walmyr Brasil hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. Oséias Fonseca was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pedro Paulo Toscano. In the 62nd minute, Amílton Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, A.D Cerejeira's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Pinheiro came free, but Oséias Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, A.D Cerejeira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dudu Amaral fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Minador EC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because A.D Cerejeira had won, even though Minador EC had held more of the ball.
