João Vítor Koehler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Murilo Teles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Murilo Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. João Vítor Koehler did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Murilo Teles 17 minutes into the match. The supporters of Capoeiral booed when Medieval F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Capoeiral's Murilo Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Cordeiro in the 25th minute of play. Lenílson Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Medieval F.C's Digo Britto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Medieval F.C's Perivaldo Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Saldanha in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Capoeiral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Braga to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Gilmar Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murilo Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Braga to strike the kick off in the second half. Lenílson Castro made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Medieval F.C's Perivaldo Meirelles. João Vítor Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 minutes of play, Medieval F.C's João Vítor Koehler made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murilo Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Perivaldo Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Braga in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Ademir Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Perivaldo Mandrak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. João Vítor Koehler took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murilo Teles. Murilo Teles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Medieval F.C's João Vítor Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murilo Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Queiroz in the 80th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Medieval F.C's Emerson Queiroz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Murilo Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After having played for 90 minutes, Gilmar Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medieval F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Medieval F.C's Perivaldo Meirelles made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murilo Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Duarte Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Perivaldo Meirelles didn't quite understand what happened when in the 97 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Medieval F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
