After 31 minutes, Edinho Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Solidao SS and the Mattosinhos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Solidao SS got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Aparecido. Fernandão Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Ronaldinho Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 68 minutes of play, Mattosinhos FC's Valdomiro Reis made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Fernandão Eger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Sousa was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. If Ronaldinho Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandão Eger in the 94th minute of play. Mattosinhos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
