With a little luck, Guaxinduva's Umberto Pinho got control of the ball when Marcos Ferreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Ferreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umberto Pinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Ferreira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Guaxinduva's zone, Vicente Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Pinho came out of the goal and Vicente Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Marcos Ferreira put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Umberto Pinho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Perez in the 61st minute of play forced Guaxinduva's goalkeeper Umberto Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umberto Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Ferreira in the 62nd minute of play. Marcos Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vicente Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Guaxinduva's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Perez came free, but Umberto Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Carlos Fernando Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaxinduva's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
