In the 5th minute, Renatinho Ferreira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Miromir Nowakowski. The goal made the score 1-0. Itacare SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Renatinho Ferreira 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Renatinho Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Miromir Nowakowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MONTES CLAROS F. C.. Belmiro Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Miromir Nowakowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miromir Nowakowski having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Renatinho Ferreira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Miromir Nowakowski. The goal made the score 3-0. 24 minutes into the match, Belmiro Sampaio notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Itacare SS's Miromir Nowakowski. Miromir Nowakowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renatinho Ferreira in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miromir Nowakowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the game, Belmiro Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Miromir Nowakowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Belmiro Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to MONTES CLAROS F. C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ciro Luz hit a great ball. When Severino Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Itacare SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Guerra couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Guerra was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Belmiro Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Miromir Nowakowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by João Félix got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to MONTES CLAROS F. C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ciro Luz hit a great ball. The supporters of MONTES CLAROS F. C. booed when Itacare SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belmiro Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Miromir Nowakowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Belmiro Sampaio put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miromir Nowakowski. A collision led to Itacare SS getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Claudinei Esteves hit a great ball. Renatinho Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miromir Nowakowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Sampaio in the 79th minute of play forced Itacare SS's goalkeeper Miromir Nowakowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renatinho Ferreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miromir Nowakowski having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MONTES CLAROS F. C. fully deserved thier win.
