Benedito Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Jorginho Tróia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benedito Berger having to make a save. Benedito Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco da Mata in the 95th minute of play. After 95 minutes, Richard Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tigres do Rio FC and the Caldas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes Tigres do Rio FC got a freekick which was hit by Richard Matos. Alfredo de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caldas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
