After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jardel Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Facao AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Jardel Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laerte de Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Severino de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Dias in the 9th minute of the match. Guilherme Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute Jonathan das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Facao AD booed when Esperança.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Facao AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Maia to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd match minute, Facao AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Sena to maneuver through the defense. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Hoffmann to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Esperança.F.C's zone, Guilherme Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte de Souza came out of the goal and Guilherme Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luiz França got free with Olavo Neto in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Esperança.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Loureiro came free, but Laerte de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Hoffmann in the 60th minute of play forced Esperança.F.C's goalkeeper Laerte de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Esperança.F.C's André Luiz França in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Facao AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olavo Neto was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and André Luiz França capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. André Luiz França really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. André Luiz França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Olavo Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Facao AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Sena to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Esperança.F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Facao AD throughout the match.
