Vitório Botelho spun around in front of the goal 9 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Macahe's goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitório Botelho in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Digo Lopez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Malu getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Vitório Botelho hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Macahe's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Botelho came free, but Digo Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vitório Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Malu booed when Macahe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Lucas was a little too slow when Belmiro Nogueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 36th minute, Belmiro Nogueira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfredo Lucas, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 41 minutes, Thiago Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macahe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitório Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Digo Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitório Botelho was the one to do the kick off. Diguinho Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Macahe's zone, Diguinho Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Digo Lopez came out of the goal and Diguinho Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belmiro Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Macahe's Digo Lopez got control of the ball when Diguinho Schmidt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredo Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Nogueira in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Diguinho Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malu's supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Digo Lopez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Botelho in the 83rd minute of play forced Macahe's goalkeeper Digo Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilvan Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The Macahe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
