Brete's Luiz Fernando de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Hewitt in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Martin Sawyer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dream Madrid FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brete the free kick. Dream Madrid FC's Willian de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Brete booed when Dream Madrid FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özgür Azim didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Brete's goalie and right to Juarês Trancoso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Brete's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Willian de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Toscano during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Dream Madrid FC booed when Brete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
