Sílvio Luiz Tinoco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuca Faustino went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Madureira in the 13th minute of play forced Theotonio EC's goalkeeper Júlio Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Madureira in the 16th minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Maribondo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Luisinho Alves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 25th playminute. In the 29th minute Raúl Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Abreu in the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Maribondo EC's Rubinho Miranda got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maribondo EC's zone, Edson Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luiz Tinoco came out of the goal and Edson Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Maribondo EC's Nico Pimenta got a free kick in the 37th minute. Raúl Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Schmidt having to interfere. Rubinho Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sílvio Luiz Tinoco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuca Faustino's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Rubinho Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Theotonio EC defense, Luisinho Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Schmidt. The Theotonio EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Schmidt should have stopped the shot. After 59 played minutes Maribondo EC got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Madureira. If Edson Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Nico Pimenta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maribondo EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Luisinho Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisinho Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Schmidt having to interfere. Júlio Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Madureira struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Júlio Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maribondo EC. When Maribondo EC's Raúl Madureira in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Theotonio EC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 83rd minute, Raúl Madureira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Madureira in the 97th minute of play forced Theotonio EC's goalkeeper Júlio Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Maribondo EC were the better team. Maribondo EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
