The supporters of Tradicão Do Morro booed when Caripare SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilson Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tradicão Do Morro's Dieguinho Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th match minute, Caripare SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Vander to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Elder Vander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Souza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Tradicão Do Morro's Waldir Peixoto got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tradicão Do Morro's zone, Vinícius Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Souza came out of the goal and Vinícius Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Vinícius Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vinícius Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jaime Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Tradicão Do Morro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juninho Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute of the match, Dieguinho Pombal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Víktor Simão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Vides in the 38th minute of play forced Tradicão Do Morro's goalkeeper Jaime Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gugu Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Souza having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Caripare SC's Vinícius Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaime Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Elder Vander took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaime Souza. Tradicão Do Morro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vinícius Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. Víktor Simão came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Tradicão Do Morro's Dieguinho Pombal. But to his dismay, Dieguinho Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Vinícius Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Souza having to interfere. In the 67th minute Gilson Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víktor Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Pombal in the 68th minute of play. Gugu Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaime Souza having to make a save. Vinícius Teixeira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Caripare SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A hard shot by Elder Vander from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Jaime Souza's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Tradicão Do Morro getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ricardinho Barros hit a great ball. David Bastos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Víktor Simão. Caripare SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Víktor Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Ferraz in the 90th minute of play. Gilson Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Víktor Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Tradicão Do Morro's Jaime Souza got control of the ball when Vinícius Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line.
