Osvaldo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César da Rocha having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Caboto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Caboto's Aírton Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiori Senna in the 22nd minute of the match. Pedro Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Aleluia's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Senna came free, but Pedro Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Caboto's Aírton Rodrigues made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caboto's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fiori Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandrinho Lira during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sandrinho Lira hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Dino Neto put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of César da Rocha.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dino Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aírton Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Abraão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. If Aírton Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Caboto's Aírton Rodrigues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Abraão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The Caboto fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Caboto's Fiori Senna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Aleluia getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Osvaldo Gonçalves hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Caboto's Pedro Abraão threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fiori Senna, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. César da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Magalhães in the 95th minute of play. Caboto played a much better game than Aleluia and deserved their victory. The Aleluia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
