Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Raí Ramos kicked off to start the match. Tomé Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Netto in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Ramos in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Felipe Netto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Osvaldo Sá saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 29 minutes into the game, Palmeirante EC's Tomé Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Sá made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Osvaldo Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Rodolfo Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Ramos in the 39th minute of play. When Palmeirante EC's Felipe Netto in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SE Palmeiras's goalie prevented a goal. In the 47th minute, Tomé Miranda fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Netto to strike the kick off in the second half. If Felipe Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 52nd match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SE Palmeiras's zone, Felipe Netto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Sá came out of the goal and Felipe Netto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Felipe Netto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Sá. SE Palmeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Netto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paraíba got free with Rodolfo Britto in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Palmeirante EC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Caetano de Sena hit a great ball. Raí Ramos struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Rodolfo Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Palmeiras. With his leg Rodolfo Britto managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when SE Palmeiras's João Paraíba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Caetano de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caetano de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SE Palmeiras booed when Palmeirante EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Felipe Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Netto might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Netto ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that Palmeirante EC were the better team. Palmeirante EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
