DZ Blue were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rudolf Almqvist took the corner. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, DZ Blue's Ove Smedfeldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 21 minutes, Malte Schiele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the DZ Blue players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Valentine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DZ Blue's Ove Smedfeldt got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Börje Fristedt kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidoro Valentine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Germany were awarded a corner. Frank Sachs went to the cornerflag to take it. Frank Sachs scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidoro Valentine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Sachs in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Isidoro Valentine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 70 minutes, Adrian Dreifuss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the DZ Blue players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. DZ Blue made a substitution.
