Tricolor FC's Luís de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc-Aurèle Riedinger in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tricolor FC's Telmo Queiroz got a free kick in the 12th minute. Luís de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurício Gaúcho in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Garauna AD's goal looked a bit too open when César Marques came free, but Roberto Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurício Gaúcho went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. César Marques hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Marc-Aurèle Riedinger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís de Moraes. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. In the 37th minute Gernando Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marc-Aurèle Riedinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tricolor FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nilson Saraiva hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Marques made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, César Marques recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roberto Ortiz. César Marques showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 58th minute, Gernando Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Ortiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After some careless play in the Tricolor FC defense, Marc-Aurèle Riedinger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís de Moraes. The Tricolor FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís de Moraes should have stopped the shot. Roberto Ortiz was a little too slow when César Marques got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 3-4. A collision led to Tricolor FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Nilson Saraiva hit a great ball. Luís de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Gaúcho in the 77th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Garauna AD's goal looked a bit too open when César Marques came free, but Roberto Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nilson Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Garauna AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Peres to maneuver through the defense. Tricolor FC's William Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roberto Ortiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernando Marquez in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Garauna AD's goal looked a bit too open when César Marques came free, but Roberto Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Maurício Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marc-Aurèle Riedinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís de Moraes having to interfere. The supporters of Garauna AD booed when Tricolor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball.
