Spectators: 7083 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fred da Cunha took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Paulo Afonso's goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro Moreno came free, but Breno Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breno Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Moreno in the 6th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sydney Vergílio during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Sydney Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lenílson Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Alessandro Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute of the match, Lenílson Simão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alessandro Madureira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Lenílson Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulo Afonso's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeferson Custódio scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alessandro Madureira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute Jeferson Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Moreno in the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Inhema's zone, Lenílson Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Madureira came out of the goal and Lenílson Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 minutes of play, Inhema's Lúcio Pereira made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Breno Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Breno Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Arruda in the 35th minute of the match. With his leg Alessandro Madureira managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Paulo Afonso's Fred da Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nuno Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alessandro Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fred da Cunha took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alessandro Madureira. Alessandro Madureira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.

If Lenílson Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lenílson Simão came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Paulo Afonso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lenílson Simão couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute Lenílson Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Afonso's Breno Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Paulo Afonso from getting a goal against them. Alessandro Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Cearense in the 77th minute of play. Valdomiro Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Cearense in the 83rd minute of play forced Inhema's goalkeeper Alessandro Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred da Cunha in the 85th minute of the match. Alessandro Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Cearense in the 89th minute of play. Paulo Afonso's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
