Délio Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Paes in the 69th minute of the match. Olívio Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Guilherme Meireles's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the SANTOS FC defense, Jairo Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Délio Lopez. The SANTOS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Délio Lopez should have stopped the shot. Robin Öhlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olívio Teixeira having to make a save.
