In the 17thth minute of the game Hernani Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curupaiti AD's Joélson de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Willian Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curupaiti AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Willian Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Vander was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Curupaiti AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breno Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Clóvis Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in Curupaiti AD's zone, Armando Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joélson de Amaral came out of the goal and Armando Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joélson de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Vander in the 62nd minute of the match. Paulo José Mazza charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José Mazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo José Mazza hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Itatiayassu FC's goalkeeper Adelino Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
