Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eusébio Mesquita kicked off to start the match. Alfredinho Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Mesquita's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Edmundo Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Sporting Clube Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Leão to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Júnior de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iurie Velicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Macedo in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Paulista's Charles Leão got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Eusébio Mesquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alfredinho Quadros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Antônio Galvão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredinho Quadros was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Argola! Alfredinho Quadros went to the wrong direction when Baltasar Bastiaro was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 31 minutes, Antônio Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antônio Galvão took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredinho Quadros. Alfredinho Quadros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Antônio Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Antônio Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sporting Clube Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Galvão couldn't finish the play. Antônio Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Quadros having to interfere.
The wind increased when Naldo Macedo made the kick off in the second half. Iurie Velicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Macedo in the 55th minute of play. Iurie Velicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Charles Leão fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube Paulista's protests and gave Charles Leão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Charles Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Júnior de Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Argola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Eusébio Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredinho Quadros having to make a save. After having played for 74 minutes, Eusébio Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Eusébio Mesquita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredinho Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Argola's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Antônio Galvão scored to the left of an out of position Alfredinho Quadros, making the score, 1-4. After 86 played minutes Argola got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Prata. 86 minutes into the game, Eusébio Mesquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Alfredinho Quadros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Júnior de Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iurie Velicu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
