Patrick Carneiro was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Amacia's Serafim Nóbrega got a free kick in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Amacia's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Amorim came free, but Sílvio Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cássio Mattos charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Mattos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cássio Mattos hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Adelino Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 69th minute of the game was made by Caetano de Lara with Washington Amorim as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Toninho Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Renato Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Álvaro Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Recanto AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Brodel couldn't finish the play. Luís Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the game, Amacia's Reinaldo Schmidt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toninho Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Washington Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Recanto AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Amacia.
