Elder Mendes struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Artur Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costinha AD. 7 minutes in the game, Mateus Barral fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Artur Tinoco having to interfere. Kauan Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Curunhu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Mendes came free, but Artur Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Curunhu AD's Manolo Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manolo Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emerson Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolo Galvão in the 21st minute of play forced Costinha AD's goalkeeper Emerson Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curunhu AD's Artur Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Curunhu AD from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute of the match Costinha AD got a corner. Curunhu AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adelino Rosa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Costinha AD's Marcos Amorim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Artur Tinoco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Curunhu AD's Artur Tinoco got control of the ball when Mateus Barral tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curunhu AD's goalkeeper Artur Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Barral got free with Artur Tinoco in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elder Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Moraes hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Curunhu AD's Artur Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Mendes in the 55th minute of play. Artur Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 71 minutes, Elder Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costinha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Costinha AD getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Otávio Sousa hit a great ball. Artur Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Barral in the 84th minute of the match. If Elder Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateus Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Costinha AD's Elder Mendes in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curunhu AD's goalie prevented a goal. When Mateus Barral came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Costinha AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateus Barral couldn't finish the play. Humberto de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Costinha AD got a freekick which was hit by Humberto de Alcântara. Costinha AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
