The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Carlos Brito got free with Matheus Catarinense in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute, Edmundo Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Ramos in the 22nd minute of play forced Bananeira's goalkeeper Matheus Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Ramos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Matheus Catarinense came out and tried to block the shot, but Jarbas Ramos slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 24th minute. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Zé Carlos Brito sped through Bananeira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matheus Catarinense. Ascuria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Netto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matheus Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarbas Ramos's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Edmundo Prado charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmundo Prado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Bananeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Prado to maneuver through the defense. Jarbas Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Matheus Catarinense made a huge save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Prado made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bananeira's goalkeeper Matheus Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Jarbas Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matheus Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Bananeira's Matheus Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Ramos in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Zé Carlos Brito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ascuria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Bananeira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Carlos Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0.
