When Armando Prado fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mambure's protests and gave Armando Prado a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Prado hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Enio Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Pitta couldn't finish the play. Aníbal Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rafa Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Erik Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mambure's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dé Chaves was slow to take the kick. During this time Mambure's players had a chance to rest. Mambure's Dé Chaves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rafa Alcântara in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
