Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Waldemar Alvarenga made the kick off and thus started the match. Chiquinho Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão de Lara in the 4th minute of play. After 5 played minutes Londrina Esporte Club got a freekick which was hit by Arí Albuquerque. If Falcão de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Real Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Travassos to maneuver through the defense. William Faustino took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Vidal. Rony Vidal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Waldemar Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Chiquinho Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falcão de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chiquinho Messias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falcão de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute, Londrina Esporte Club's Arí Albuquerque ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rony Vidal. Rony Vidal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Waldemar Alvarenga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chiquinho Messias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Chiquinho Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Londrina Esporte Club's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão de Lara came free, but Chiquinho Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro Aguiar hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Londrina Esporte Club's 何升克 tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Guto Varela made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Londrina Esporte Club's Valdo Quadros. Marcel Bertassi's late challenge caught a Londrina Esporte Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Real Capixaba got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Bertassi. The supporters of Real Capixaba booed when Londrina Esporte Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiquinho Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Varela in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Waldemar Alvarenga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 97th minute, Arí Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of Real Capixaba's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Real Capixaba may have spent more time on the ball, but Londrina Esporte Club were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
