Sydney Esteves started the match with the kick off. If Cipriano Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Erasmo de Godoy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Pedro Loureiro was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Agnaldo Toledo struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. José Pedro Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube. 13 minutes into the game, Cipriano Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martim EC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Fernandes. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Martim EC! Martim EC's attentive Cipriano Martins managed to snatch the ball when Ciro Rocha made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Sydney Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Pereira having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Sydney Esteves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fred Pereira, 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Esteves came free, but Fred Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube! In the 37th minute, Martim EC got a penalty, and Tião Barreto placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Martim EC's attentive Tião Barreto managed to snatch the ball when Edinho de Azevedo made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Sydney Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martim EC's attentive Cipriano Martins managed to snatch the ball when Ciro Rocha made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Erasmo de Godoy made the kick off in the second half. João Carlos Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Azevedo made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Martim EC's Cipriano Martins. A sloppy throw-in by Ciro Rocha in the 66th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Martim EC's Cipriano Martins. The Martim EC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Martim EC's Sydney Esteves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Agnaldo Toledo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Sydney Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martim EC's protests and gave Sydney Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Martim EC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Sydney Esteves hit a great ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Erasmo de Godoy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Martim EC's José Pedro Loureiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tião Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Martim EC's Cipriano Martins managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edinho de Azevedo in the 79 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Favoretto in the 81st minute of play forced Sul da Ilha Floripa Clube's goalkeeper Fred Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Fred Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Pereira having to interfere. Malcolm Sigman kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Agnaldo Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Martim EC had won after a very even match.
