NEW YOUNG GIANTS's Thiago Caillaux couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Espinhos FC. Cléber Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Lopes in the 39th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Paraíba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cléber Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. Gil Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléber Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play.
