Nildo Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lykos Tsarouhtsis in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 6 minutes, Giovanni Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SalachFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, SalachFC's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Ferreira came free, but Virgílio Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lykos Tsarouhtsis scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nildo Veiga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nildo Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lykos Tsarouhtsis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Andarai FC's Dito Meira got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 38 played minutes Andarai FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Schmidt. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lykos Tsarouhtsis made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Andarai FC's Válbson Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgílio Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Giovanni Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, SalachFC's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Ferreira came free, but Virgílio Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgílio Pombal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Válbson Ferreira went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Augusto Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, SalachFC's goal looked a bit too open when Régis de Barros came free, but Virgílio Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Régis de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
