Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adilson Trigo in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Pedro Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ouricana's zone, Adilson Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo Tasso came out of the goal and Adilson Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Wiliam Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australopitecos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Trigo in the 24th minute of play. Jerônimo da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Alex Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Guilherme Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Pedro Queirós's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Jerônimo da Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wiliam Pernambucano hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Wiliam Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Adilson Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Australopitecos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adilson Trigo couldn't finish the play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson Trigo to make the kick off. With his leg Edmundo Tasso managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Australopitecos's Adilson Trigo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adilson Trigo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Edmundo Tasso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Pedro Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Castro having to interfere. Ouricana's Jerônimo da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63 minutes, Alex Matorin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australopitecos and the Ouricana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Australopitecos! The referee gave Ouricana a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eriberto Couto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Australopitecos's Luís Guilherme Castro. 1-0. Jerônimo da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Australopitecos's Wiliam Pernambucano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmundo Tasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edmundo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Trigo in the 71st minute of play. Cesinha Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Adilson Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Tasso having to interfere. Edmundo Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Wiliam Pernambucano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmundo Tasso having to make a save. Luís Guilherme Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo Tasso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adilson Trigo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 82 minute of play. Edmundo Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Adilson Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Prestes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edmundo Tasso. Ouricana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
