In the 15th minute Erivaldo Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castellani Futebol Clube's Wilian Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Linhares in the 20th minute of play. Adrianinho Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilian Pereira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute José Paulo Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castellani Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Iavarete's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vinícius Guedes took the corner. Adrianinho Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Wilian Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Loureiro made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Castellani Futebol Clube's Charles Carneiro. Wilian Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vinícius Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Paulo Linhares was the one to do the kick off. Marcin Wojno took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimir Freitas. Vladimir Freitas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Wilian Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Linhares in the 63rd minute of the match. Marcin Wojno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Freitas having to interfere. In the 78th minute Elder Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castellani Futebol Clube were furious when Charles Carneiro was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Laércio Proença, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Castellani Futebol Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
