The Itai EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olívio da Mata got free with Nestor Cunha in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
