Tiaguinho Moura who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of João Augusto Rosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Otávio Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otávio Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Otávio Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Rosario got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Duarte. Tiaguinho Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. João Augusto Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Loreth might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Augusto Rosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leon Loreth ran back to his position shaking his head. Leon Loreth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Sport Club Recife got a freekick which was hit by Doni Novaes. In the 31st minute, Sandro de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Augusto Rosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tiaguinho Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leon Loreth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. João Augusto Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otávio Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiaguinho Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Rosa having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiaguinho Moura in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Augusto Rosa saved Rosario from getting behind. After having played for 58 minutes, Leon Loreth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Recife's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Loreth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiaguinho Moura in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Augusto Rosa saved Rosario from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Sport Club Recife's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Ramalho came free, but Marcus Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leon Loreth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otávio Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Félix having to interfere. Sport Club Recife's Tiaguinho Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Augusto Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Moura in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Olívio da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario's supporters rose to their feet, but Olívio da Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Sport Club Recife players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
