But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Eliézer Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Juarês Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Lobao SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cássio Magalhães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Barral in the 38th minute of play forced Jatimana EC's goalkeeper Juarês Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lobao SS's Afonso Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Lobao SS's goalkeeper Sidney Seco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Magalhães. Jarbas Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jatimana EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lobao SS's zone, Jarbas Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Seco came out of the goal and Jarbas Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juarês Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Eliézer Moraes made a precise shot to the right of Juarês Porto. Jatimana EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Afonso Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sidney Seco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cássio Magalhães went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Eliézer Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Juarês Porto made a huge save. Cássio Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Guilherme Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Sidney Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lobao SS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Jatimana EC's much stronger midfield.
