Joélson Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Duda de Mendonça made a huge save. Duda de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Moraujo's zone, Joélson Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duda de Mendonça came out of the goal and Joélson Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Alexandre Neves made the kick off in the second half. João Augusto Capixaba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Víktor Vides in the 55th minute. João Augusto Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
