An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Priø in the 27th minute of play forced Catone's goalkeeper César Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catone's César Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Vinhas in the 29th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catone's goalkeeper César Correia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elder Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guga Messias's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Elder Cruz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karsten Priø got free with César Correia in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. César Correia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kaká Breckenfeld. Guga Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Elder Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karsten Priø got free with César Correia in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Mocos SS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Catone throughout the match.
