In the 13th match minute, Caucaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Soares to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Hélder Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Jacob succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Jacob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fábio Cearense was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Araguacema SC's zone, Marco Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséias Hames came out of the goal and Marco Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 minutes, Wellington Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araguacema SC and the Caucaia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wellington Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match Arlindo de Amaral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oséias Hames skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Jacob got free with Luiz Fábio Cearense in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fábio Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Moraes in the 52nd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Araguacema SC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio da Costa. Luiz Fábio Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Moraes went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Hélder Andrade succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-1. Emanuel Jacob fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Cearense having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 90 minutes, Augusto Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araguacema SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
