After a defensive mix-up in Real Madrid's zone, Douglas Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Marinho came out of the goal and Douglas Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ludomir Tomaszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as São Judas F.C.'s Douglas Galvão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edvaldo Marinho. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. 11 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Abreu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Judas F.C. the free kick. After 11 played minutes Real Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Abreu. Jardel Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Marinho having to interfere. When Douglas Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the São Judas F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Galvão couldn't finish the play. Edvaldo Marinho was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Douglas Galvão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Douglas Galvão really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, Douglas Galvão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edvaldo Marinho, 3-0. Vivaldo Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Edvaldo Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludomir Tomaszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Barral in the 35th minute of the match. If Jardel Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edvaldo Marinho didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Douglas Galvão made the kick off in the second half. Edvaldo Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Dante in the 54th minute of the match. If Douglas Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Judas F.C. the free kick. After having played for 71 minutes, Jardel Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Judas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute Douglas Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Marquinhos Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Galvão in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Galvão in the 91st minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Edvaldo Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. São Judas F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Júlio Almeida 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-1. Edvaldo Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Veiga in the 97th minute of play. Jardel Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Marinho having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. São Judas F.C. fully deserved thier win.
