Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Serginho Hermes started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Alessandro Fontes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Vianna to make any attempt to save it. Silvério Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardinho Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Hermes in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Loureiro saved Camargos from getting behind. Alessandro Fontes struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Pedro Vianna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camargos. Silvério Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes Camargos got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Soares. When Serginho Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Yara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Hermes couldn't finish the play. Camargos's Elias Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco de Senna in the 30th minute of play. Rodolfo Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Pedro Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vianna having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Serginho Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yara's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Hermes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serginho Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 44 played minutes Yara got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Hermes. Silvério Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Elias Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Fontes to strike the kick off in the second half. Serginho Hermes's late challenge caught a Camargos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serginho Hermes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Serginho Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vianna having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Fausto de Amorim sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Camargos's Elias Loureiro didn't even have to move. Camargos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Serginho Hermes scored to the left of an out of position Elias Loureiro, making the score, 1-1. If Alessandro Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Serginho Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serginho Hermes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elias Loureiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Serginho Hermes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 78th minute. After 82 minutes, Fausto de Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yara and the Camargos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Yara getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Fausto de Amorim hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Camargos's zone, Silvério Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Loureiro came out of the goal and Silvério Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute Serginho Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvério Arce might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Loureiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Arce ran back to his position shaking his head. Yara played a much better game than Camargos and deserved their victory. The Camargos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
