PALHAÇADA FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Zézinho Fonseca 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Zézinho Fonseca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Víktor Tasso. That made the score 4-0 in the 38 minute of play. In the 48th minute, Vladimir Mazza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. Víktor Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Fonseca in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute Vladimir Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Mazza in the 78th minute of play forced PALHAÇADA FC's goalkeeper Víktor Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Vladimir Mazza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Víktor Tasso. PALHAÇADA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vladimir Mazza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Vladimir Mazza scored 7-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Víktor Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Renato Gaspar during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
