Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Vladimir Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Cacá Matorin made a huge save. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verdum SS's goalkeeper Cacá Matorin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cacá Matorin came out and tried to block the shot, but Zézinho Fonseca slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fidalgo's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernão Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cacá Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Fonseca in the 86th minute of the match. Fidalgo's Zézinho Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 97 minutes, Vladimir Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fidalgo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimir Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
