The supporters of Pedralva SS booed when Team SoloMid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kléberson da Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo José Donato. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kléberson da Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 minutes of play, Team SoloMid's Valdomiro Bezerra made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurício Arantes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Team SoloMid's Hermínio Magalhães seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hermínio Magalhães the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Team SoloMid protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hermínio Magalhães had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 28 minutes into the game, one of Team SoloMid:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Paulo José Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Campidelis's late challenge caught a Team SoloMid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Team SoloMid got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Matos. Paulo José Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléberson da Silveira in the 48th minute. After the first half Team SoloMid were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Andrade made a kick off. Silvinho de Queirós took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulo José Donato. Team SoloMid's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 56th minute, Kléberson da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pedralva SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 59 played minutes, Pedralva SS's Silvinho de Queirós shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo José Donato came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pedralva SS reached it. Luciano Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match Silvinho de Queirós shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo José Donato showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Pedralva SS's Kléberson da Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo José Donato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Luciano Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Paulo José Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Carlos Alberto Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo José Donato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kléberson da Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo José Donato was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Carlos Alberto Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Team SoloMid's Bernardinho Magalhães got a free kick in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pedralva SS had won after a very even match.
