Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorginho Baptista started the match with the kick off. Adalmo Valladares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giovanni Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Missioneiros getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Erasmo Ramalho hit a great ball. If Adalmo Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Missioneiros's zone, Jorginho Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Oliveira came out of the goal and Jorginho Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Reginaldo Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With splendid footwork Flavinho Gerber arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 28th minute. If Flavinho Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 minutes, Tony Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Recuperado and the Missioneiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. 37 minutes into the game, one of Recuperado:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Recuperado:s Cauã Cunha showed great skill when he stopped Wilian Leite:s penalty. Giovanni Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Baptista in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavinho Gerber to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Missioneiros's Flavinho Gerber made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauã Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorginho Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Oliveira having to interfere. Nelson Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Flavinho Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauã Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A collision led to Recuperado getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Artur Lima hit a great ball. After 72 minutes, Gildo Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. Giovanni Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adalmo Valladares in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Nelson Damião had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cauã Cunha. Recuperado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelson Damião was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Missioneiros had won after a very even match.
