An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Ferraz in the 10th minute of play forced Timbahuba SC's goalkeeper Didi Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12thth minute of the game Geovânio Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Romelandia's Natanael da Mata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Romelandia's Américo Ferraz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Didi Soares. Didi Soares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Mathias Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Ferraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didi Soares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Américo Ferraz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 34 minutes of play, Timbahuba SC's Mathias Neiva made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natanael da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! Magno Trancoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Didi Soares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Magno Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathias Neiva to make the kick off. With a little luck, Romelandia's Natanael da Mata got control of the ball when Mathias Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Mathias Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Timbahuba SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Timbahuba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Ferraz came free, but Didi Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Américo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Natanael da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Natanael da Mata made a huge save. After 74 played minutes Romelandia got a freekick which was hit by Juan Valle. After a defensive mix-up in Timbahuba SC's zone, Américo Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Soares came out of the goal and Américo Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Américo Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Timbahuba SC's Didi Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Didi Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
