Conrado de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido da Silva in the 36th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Catarinense made a kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th play minute Cido da Silva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Conrado de Castro. 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Cido da Silva could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Conrado de Castro however easily saved by the left post. Conrado de Castro came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cangas FC's Claudinho Zanette. But to his dismay, Claudinho Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Claudinho Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinho Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cido da Silva got free with Conrado de Castro in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Cangas FC's Claudinho Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado de Castro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cido da Silva scored 0-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conrado de Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
